You’ve reached my favorite part of this site. Why is it my favorite part? Because it’s all about me, me, me! I’m Kathy Watkins, owner and operator of Turnkey Virtual Assistance. I am a Virtual Assistant who provides administrative support services to successful and busy entrepreneurs and small business owners. My clients use my services so that they can focus on growing their businesses and maintaining quality personal lives. I provide virtual assistance to clients all over the world right from my home office. It is surprisingly easy to transcend the barriers of geography and time zones, and even cultural differences, through the use of technology.
My clients don’t have the need or desire to engage an administrative support professional in a full-blown employer-employee relationship. As a Virtual Assistant, I partner with them; not legally, but in the collaborative sense.

Here’s the thing. I am a small business owner. I am not an employee, or hireling, or contractor, or temp. I am not someone to call on periodically when you have random projects. I need and want to learn as much about my clients and their respective businesses as possible, so that I can recognize and address the opportunities and challenges that come along.

I became a virtual assistant because I am passionate about working with people who understand that the quality of one’s personal life is just as important as success in one’s professional life. I have over 30 years of experience in providing support in one form or another. Over a third of that time has been spent specifically providing administrative support services to chief executives. I have also spent over a decade creating and executing marketing communications programs and special events for clients throughout the United States and around the world, including Paris, Belgium, Costa Rica and Brazil.

I reside in the Midwest, where I spend a great deal of time visiting and trying to keep up with my three young grandsons. (I’m not sure if they are keeping me young or aging me before my time.) I also love indulging my passion for Asian dramas and movies. Along the way, I have managed to amass an impressive collection of Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Singaporean dramas and movies. While I would be thrilled to brag that I speak these languages, I must confess that I rely completely on English subtitles.

My faith is a huge part of my life. I base everything I do and every decision I make within the context of whether it is true to my faith and beliefs. Following that rule of thumb tends to keep me grounded and on the right track.
The other factor that keeps me grounded is my sense of humor. I love to laugh. At myself. At others. At situations. My sense of humor has been called many things: offbeat, dry, sarcastic, corny. I admit that it’s all true. But you don’t have to worry. I usually manage to contain myself. Usually. ;)
